My wife has suffered from severe chronic back pain for the past 20 years. Her back pain affected her sleeping as well as her day to day activities.

When we first used the TPR20 on her back we were determined to get some results.

I put nine applications of the TPR20 cream on her back over a 45 minute period before she began to get relief. I spaced each application to two to five minute intervals using a heating pad after every third application.

Now when we apply the TPR20 she gets relief in the first or second application. I will still use a warm moist cloth; this seems to speed up the results.

What we are finding is that over time her pain is not as intense and we are using less and less TPR20.

If you suffer from chronic back pain it may take the TPR20 up to a week of regular applications three to four times a day before you get these results.

Back pain affects about 80% of Americans at some point in their lives. A 2007 study  reported that approximately 61 million people in the US have back and / or neck pain in any 3-month period.

TPR 20 customers with back pain have reported effective pain relief, allowing them to sleep through the night and be more focused and mobile during the day.

In this article:

About Back Pain

Back pain is a symptom of a medical condition. The medical condition, or cause, can be anything from intervertebral disc degeneration to sprains, fractures, arthritis, infections and even tumors.

For people with chronic back pain, the most obvious consequence is the loss of quality of life. The pain can be all consuming, making it difficult – if not impossible – to function normally. A few other effects that chronic pain has on many people are:

  • Dependency on prescription drugs
  • Additional health problems due to the side effects of prescription drugs
  • Depression and social isolation
  • Loss of mobility
  • Concentration issues
  • Sleep problems

Back pain can cause chronic pain. As a result, back pain requires a long term pain relief solution without side effects. The conventional approach to back pain is the use of prescription drugs. Unfortunately prescription drugs come with side effects, especially when used over a prolonged period as is necessary for sustained arthritis pain relief.

How TPR 20 Can Help Back Pain

TPR 20 relieves pain on the short term and goes after inflammation that causes the pain. As a result the pain will stay away longer with regular use.

TPR 20 customers have reported back pain relief as good or better as prescription drugs – without negative side effects.

Using TPR 20 comes with another benefit: you can apply the cream where it hurts. Pills have to travel through your system before addressing the pain.

How to apply TPR 20 for Back Pain

There are many different types of back pain.
Some back pains are more ‘superficial’ and do not require many applications. Other forms of back pain can be very deep-seated and  require persistence in applying TPR 20.

Customers have reported success using the following methods: the standard method and the warm towel method.

The vast majority of people only need the standard method. The warm-towel method usually applies to prolonged and deep-seated back pain.

Standard Method

Apply a pea-sized amount of TPR 20 to the painful area, massage the TPR 20 cream into the area. After 5 minutes, re-evaluate the pain and re-apply TPR 20 to the same area if more pain relief is needed.

Repeat this process until pain relief, up to a maximum of four to five times.

The majority of people will have pain relief at this point. However, for some people it takes more to ‘break’ the pain, especially the first time TPR 20 is used.

Warm Towel Method

If the pain persists, apply a warm (the warmer the better), moist towel to the painful area for about a minute. Now re-apply the TPR 20.

Repeat this process until pain relief, up to a maximum of four to five times.

Another Option: TPR 20 and Your Chiropractor

There are chiropractors using TPR 20 successfully for back pain and in preparation for the chiropractic adjustments.

Some chiropractors have started using the TPR 20 after it was initially brought to their attention by a patient.

Fibromyalgia means ‘muscle and connective tissue pain’ (‘fibro’ means fibrous tissue, ‘myo’ means muscle and ‘algos’ means pain).

Fibromyalgia is one of the most common chronic pain conditions. The disorder affects an estimated 10 million people in the U.S. and an estimated 3-6% of the world population. While it is most prevalent in women —75-90 percent of the people who have FM are women —it also occurs in men and children of all ethnic groups.

If you have Fibromyalgia, you owe it to yourself to read this section and the Fibromyalgia testimonials. Fibromyalgia sufferers have reported life-changing pain relief with TPR 20.

In this article:

About Fibromyalgia Pain

Fibromyalgia is characterized by chronic widespread pain and also allodynia, a heightened and painful response to pressure.

Most people with fibromyalgia also experience moderate to extreme fatigue, sleep disturbances, sensitivity to touch, light, and sound, and cognitive difficulties. Many individuals also experience a number of other symptoms and overlapping conditions, such as irritable bowel syndrome, lupus and arthritis.

All Fibromyalgia patients experience pain in the different pressure points, or tender points as shown in the image below. In order to formally diagnose Fibromyalgia, one must experience pain in at least 11 of the 18 pressure points. However, some people have pain in fewer than eleven points and are still tenderpointsconsidered to suffer from Fibromyalgia.

People with Fibromyalgia also report tender points near and around the lymph glands, for example both front and back muscles encircling the armpits. Thus in women triggering pain migrating into the breasts and of course the back.

How TPR 20 Can Help Fibromyalgia Pain

People who have used TPR 20 for Fibromyalgia reported life-changing relief: being able to sleep through the night, fewer or no muscle spasms, relief of swelling and discomfort, et cetera.

It can be difficult to reach some of the painful areas but TPR 20 users have reported great and definite relief when TPR 20 is applied, especially on a regular basis.

Oct. 20, 2009 (Philadelphia) — Brush and floss! Gum disease may raise your risk of developing rheumatoid arthritis, a new study shows.

“We’ve known for a while that there is an association between gum disease and rheumatoid arthritis. But our new work suggests periodontal disease is causal,” says study head Jerry A. Molitor, MD, PhD, associate professor in the division of rheumatology and autoimmune disease at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis.

Compared to people with mild or no periodontitis surrounding two or three teeth, people with moderate to severe gum disease are nearly three times more likely to develop rheumatoid arthritis (RA), the study shows. Among never-smokers with moderate to severe gum disease, the risk is increased ninefold.

People with periodontitis also have higher blood levels of an antibody that has been associated with more severe, damaging RA than do people with healthy gums, Molitor says.

The study involved 6,616 people who underwent four thorough health checkups between 1987 and 1998. Everyone also had a dental exam between 1996 and 1998.

The findings were presented at the annual meeting of the American College of Rheumatology.

The vast majority of people with arthritis have osteoarthritis (27 million). Three other large groups are Rheumatoid Arthritis (1.3 million), gout (3 million) and fibromyalgia accounts of about 5 million people.

Pain and Arthritis

As any arthritis sufferer knows, pain and arthritis go hand in hand. Initially the arthritis pain comes and goes, for many the pain eventually becomes chronic and increases in severity.

For people with chronic arthritis pain, the most obvious consequence is the loss of quality of life. The pain can be all consuming, making it difficult – if not impossible – to function normally. A few other effects that chronic pain has on many people are:

  • Dependency on prescription drugs
  • Additional health problems due to the side effects of prescription drugs
  • Depression and social isolation
  • Concentration issues

Arthritis is a chronic disease that causes chronic pain. As a result, arthritis requires a long term pain relief solution without side effects. The conventional approach to arthritis pain are drugs. Unfortunately drugs come with side effects, especially when used over a prolonged period as is necessary for sustained arthritis pain relief.

Medication for Arthritis Pain Relief

Different types of arthritis drugs approach arthritis pain relief from different angles. Most people start with non-prescription arthritis drug and gradually move into prescription drugs as the arthritis pain becomes worse.

Non-prescription arthritis pain relievers come in two categories:

Acetaminophen (Tylenol)  – can provide significant arthritis pain relief.
Tylenol side effects include rashes, hives, difficulty breathing and swallowing. Using more than the recommended doses can cause liver damage.

Nonsteriodal Anti-Inflammatory (NSAID) drugs are effective in fighting the inflammation that causes the pain.
However, NSAIDS are notorious for side effects. NSAID side effects include heart attacks, stroke, kidney damage, stomach ulcers, et cetera.

The best known prescription arthritis pain relievers are:

Cyclo-oxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitors – COX-2 is the name of an enzyme that promotes inflammation. This enzyme is being blocked by COX-2 inhibitors. The effect on arthritis pain is comparable to that of NSAIDS. A few COX-2 inhibitor brands are Vioxx, Bextra and Celebrex.

Vioxx and Bextra have been pulled from the US market due to increased heart attack rates among patients taking these drugs.

Corticosteroids (Steroids) – The inflammation caused by arthritis is a result of a strong (but harmful) reaction of the immune system. Steroids suppress the immune system, which in turn results in suppressing the inflammation that causes the arthritis pain. An obvious side effect of steroids is a weakened immune system, but the list of severe side effects also includes high blood pressure, thinning of bones, increased infections and more.

Effective Arthritis Pain Relief Without Side Effects

TPR 20™ is the best alternative to side effect laden prescription drugs. TPR 20™ is a very effective topical arthritis pain relief and anti-inflammatory cream.

As discussed, the two main components in arthritis pain relief drugs are:

Fast Pain Relief
A person in pain only has one priority: stopping the pain. When the pain is gone or manageable, you can start working on the cause of your arthritis pain: inflammation. TPR 20™ uses four ingredients that have proven pain relieving properties.

Fight the Inflammation
Reducing or eliminating the inflammation will result in long-term arthritis pain relief. At least ten TPR 20™ ingredients have anti-inflammatory properties.

However, TPR 20™ goes further. It adds two more steps to the arthritis pain relief process:

Antioxidants
Inflammation causes cell damage by free radicals. Antioxidants prevent this cell damage by scavenging the free radicals. This results in healthier cells that promote faster healing and better health in general.

Many of the TPR 20™ ingredients have some antioxidant properties, but seven ingredients stand out.

Joint Support
Arthritis and other joint related ailments are a major cause of chronic pain. TPR 20™ contains at least six ingredients that specifically target joint health.

Additionally, it is important for Arthritis sufferers to try and stay mobile. Movement of the joints replenishes the cartilage nourishing synovial fluids in the joints. Effective arthritis pain relief allows mobility during many stages of Arthritis, slowing down the negative effects of the disease.

Scientists have revealed that depression and inflammation can increase the likelihood of pain in rheumatoid arthritis (RA), a condition in which Depression, inflammation flares up pain in rheumatoid arthritis patients experience stiffness, swelling, pain and a deterioration in their joints.

Researchers at Nagoya City University and Nagoya University Graduate Schools of Medicine, Japan studied the link between levels of depression symptoms and pain.

The research team, led by Masayo Kojima, evaluated 218 RA patients. Blood samples from participants were taken to measure their CRP levels.

CRP is a plasma protein that is produced by the liver and rises during incidents of acute inflammation in RA. Inflammation is a basic way in which the body reacts to infection, irritation etc.

According to this study, inflammation and depression each independently increased the likelihood of severe pain. The combined effects of high CRP levels and depression predicted severe pain even more strongly.

"Results of our research demonstrate the potential for clinicians to improve pain control by addressing their patients’ psychological symptoms in addition to conducting anti-inflammation therapy," stated Dr. Kojima.

A second study by researchers at the University of British Columbia (UBC), Canada further explored depression in spouses of people with RA.

They found that higher levels of spouse depression predicted worse disease progression for Rheumatoid arthritis patients over a one-year period.

Anita DeLongis and colleagues from the University of British Columbia examined the role of spouse mood in the disability and disease course of 133 RA patients.

"Our findings highlight the key role played by the spouse in the course of the disease for individuals with RA, and point to the importance of including the spouse in clinical interventions," the authors concluded.

Both studies were published in the August issue of Arthritis Care & Research, a journal of the American College of Rheumatology.

Irish scientists have developed new early-warning tests for osteoarthritis, and they are now honing in on potential cures, writes Helen Gallagher .

Swollen joints, aching bones and relentless, searing pain? You may be one of millions suffering from joint disease. Promising new research could however offer much needed relief.

Irish researchers are developing “early warning” tests for joint disease, work which they believe may ultimately lead to preventive treatments. The new tests for degenerative joint disease are being developed by Dr Alexander Yavorskyy, a researcher in the bioanalytical, chemistry and diagnostics group at Dublin City University.

“We have received funding from the Wellcome Trust over the past two years, and also from Enterprise Ireland in the past year, to develop tests for osteoarthritis,” says Yavorskyy.

“Osteoarthritis is an extremely painful form of degenerative joint disease and yet there is currently no drug available to treat or prevent progression of the disease,” he explains.

This disease can affect any joint in the body, turning movement that typically we take for granted into an excruciating ordeal. “As it damages the cartilage and bone, it can lead to inflammation, stiffness and even locking of the joints,” he says.

“Treatment of symptoms with anti-inflammatories or steroids may provide some temporary relief, but early detection allows better management of the disease through physical therapy and exercise plans,” Yavorskyy says.

Diagnosing this disease in the early stages is very difficult, he points out. “At the moment doctors examine the joint externally, or through X-ray once the disease is quite advanced.”

The severe pain of osteoarthritis is caused by “tiny crystals of calcium phosphate building up in the fluid between the bones”, he explains. “Once the osteoarthritis develops to the later stages, surgery for joint replacement can be the only option, and this is obviously traumatic for the patient.”

This new technology will allow doctors to diagnose disease progression much earlier by taking fluid samples from the joint with a syringe. “The new analytical tool will measure the amount of crystals in the joint fluid, known as synovial fluid,” he explains.

A chemical reaction between crystals in the sample with test dyes determines the level of disease. “Our technology measures the changes in fluorescence of the dyes as they react with the calcium crystals using a fluorescence microscope, and this indicates the levels of osteoarthritis,” explains Yavorskyy.

Further investigation into the cause of osteoarthritis is being carried out within the research group. “Techniques known as ‘proteomics’ are also being used to determine the structure and function of the proteins in the joint fluid. It is hoped that more can be learned about the cause of the disease, and that this will lead to the development of preventive treatments for osteoarthritis.”

Healthcare professionals are eager to see research into the prevention of osteoarthritis. “We are actively collaborating with Prof Geraldine McCarthy, consultant rheumatologist in the Mater Hospital, who is very supportive of this project,” says Yavorskyy.

“We are also offering the testing to the pharmaceutical companies for use in tracking the progress of the disease as part of their research.”

As the team finalises this technology, Yavorskyy is hopeful that there will be companies looking to commercialise the research findings in the near future.

“Enterprise Ireland is keen to have spin-off companies established to manufacture the test kits once they are developed,” he says.

Irish Times – Latest research into osteoarthritis could offer pain relief

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients who eat a gluten-free vegan diet could be better protected against heart attacks and stroke. RA is a major risk factor for these cardiovascular diseases, but a gluten-free vegan diet was shown to lower cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein (LDL) and oxidizedLDL (OxLDL), as well as raising the levels of natural antibodies against the damaging compounds in the body that cause symptoms of the chronic inflammatory disease rheumatoid arthritis, such as phosphorylcholine.

The idea that we can influence our health by changing our eating habits has become a fashionable idea among lifestyle and consumer magazines. There is evidence that dietary changes can bring about health benefits but specific results are not widespread.

Now, Johan Frostegard of the Rheumatology Unit at the Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm and colleagues divided sixty-six RA patients randomly into two groups. They randomly assigned 38 of the volunteers to eat a gluten-free vegan diet, and the other 28 a well-balanced but non-vegan diet for one year. They analysed the levels of fatty, lipid molecules in blood samples using routine analytical methods at regular periods. They also measured oxLDL and anti-phosphorylcholine (antiPC) factor at the beginning of the experiment, at 3 months and again at 12 months.

The researchers found that the gluten-free vegan diet not only reduced LDL and oxLDL levels and raised antiPC antibodies but lowered the body-mass index (BMI) of the volunteers in that group. Levels of other fatty molecules, including triglycerides and high-density lipoprotein (HDL) stayed the same. In contrast, none of the indicators differed significantly for the control groups on the conventional healthy diet.

AntiPC antibodies are studied within CVDIMMUNE, an European consortium led by Dr Frostegard with the hypothesis that such antibodies can protect against cardiovascular disease and can be used as diagnostic and therapeutic factors.

Frostegard and colleagues have now shown that diet could be used to improve the long-term health of people with rheumatoid arthritis. They concede that a bigger study group will be needed to discern which particular aspects of the diet help the most.

Journal reference: Ann-Charlotte Elkan, Beatrice Sjoberg, Bjorn Kolsrud, Bo Ringertz, Ingiald Hafstrom and Johan Frostegard. Gluten-free vegan diet induces decreased LDL and oxidized LDL levels and raised atheroprotective natural antibodies against phosphorylcholine in patients with rheumatoid arthritis- a randomized study.
